What is " ROOT " ?

So , What is ROOT ?

Basically you are a young developer ,  but soon you going to be an professional DEV . Just go on reading .

The ROOT word was born from the LINUX Operating System , wherein the user has to enter a password to perform certain action .
As the concept defines , ROOT is something like performing action's which are generally to modify the specified file's or folder's in system.
Without ROOT , the user cannot access the system/ path & all the contents in it , basically its WRITE protected & READ-ONLY file-system .
In-order to obtain root access you need a 3-rd party software which runs a script ( install's superuser binary) , in order to obtain ROOT . In easy words ,  it runs a script to make system/ path as WRITABLE .

Further , What is SuperUser.apk or SuperSU.apk or KingUser.apk ??  I can see a app something like that installed  ?

This is a Android Package Application(Apk) which controls theROOTaccess ( performing any task in system/).

After getting the ROOT access the USER controlling  SUPERIOR - Activities in system/ is called SUPER-USER  & the Android application asking for permission is called Superuser.apk or SuperSU.apk .

The General symbol used to denote root permission is  " # " .

It will popup with 2 option's like in above image likely to be "Deny" "Grant" or "Allow" "Deny" .

In easy word's , " It is a child asking his dad to allow him to play in garden ."

Most of them think- " Oh !! Rooting my lovely device will damage or my data will get lost !!! "

Well , then maybe you have taken a BIG wrong turn to read this article .

Our point of view is , "NO" . It does not damage or delete any personal data in device .  As we are Developer's we ROOTED our DEVICE NEARLY 7-8 TIMES WITHOUT ANY DAMAGE for making Custom ROM'S .

My personal view is , if you want to root the device , ROOT it in warranty period . In-case if you occur any problem you can recover it in service center for free . ( Less than 2% this occurs ) .

We END up here by concluding :-

" ROOTING WON'T DAMAGE YOUR PHONE BUT FLASHING CUSTOM ROMS CAN . "
